Principle 1
Workflows
Workflows represent how work gets done - stable, repeatable processes that exist independently of AI.
Tendering has a shape. HSE documentation has a shape. Engineering reviews have a shape. Snowvault respects these structures rather than replacing them.
Workflows are industry-agnostic in structure but configured for EPC contexts. They encode the sequence, the checkpoints and the handoffs that make work defensible.
Principle 2
Agents
Agents are specialist roles that contribute expertise to work.
An agent isn't an assistant. It's a credible contributor - like a technical writer, a procurement analyst, or an HSE reviewer. Each agent has a defined scope and capability.
Agents operate within Workflows. They contribute to drafts, suggest revisions, check precedent - but they don't act autonomously. Human oversight is always the next step.
Principle 3
Actions
Actions are discrete, auditable outputs - documents, analyses, structured responses.
Snowvault doesn't produce answers. It produces artefacts you can review, revise and approve. Every Action has a clear input, a defined output and a traceable lineage.
Every Action is logged. You can see what was generated, when, by which agent, and from what source material. Auditability is not an add-on - it's the architecture.
Principle 4
Projects
Projects anchor all activity. Every output belongs to a Project.
No more searching for where something lives. No more context lost between sessions. A Project holds the workflows, the outputs, the source documents and the activity history.
Projects connect to your existing systems - SharePoint folders, document libraries, governance structures. They don't replace your file management. They give it context.
AI acts only when invited.
AI contributes to drafts. Humans review before anything progresses.
No autonomous actions. No silent changes. No background decisions.
The human is always the decision-maker.
This is how work already happens: draft, review, revise, approve. Snowvault respects that sequence.
